Antigua is also known as Wadadli , is an island in the West Indies. It lies in the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean which is the main island of the country of Antigua and Barbuda. It is approximately 17 degrees north of the equator. Antigua means “ancient” in Spanish which was coined by Christopher Columbus.

Annual rainfall constitutes about 45 inches, which makes it as the sunniest of the Eastern Caribbean islands. The northeast trade winds are rarely constant and have low humidity throughout the year around.
