Accreditation:
University of Medicine and Health Sciences learners are qualified to sit for the United States Medical Licensing Examinations due to the IMED and WHO AVICENNA listings.
University of Medicine and Health Sciences is aware of the value of having its applications certified so that our learners may be qualified to sit for the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE) and implement for qualifications from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
This qualification is needed for worldwide and Caribbean medical school graduate students to acquire residencies and certification to exercise medication in the United States.

Accreditation Board, an arm of the Ministry of Education, in 2012.
The next phase is for the university to be detailed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED) of the Foundation for the Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER). UMHS obtained this record in June 2008.
Due to the IMED recognition and accreditation, learners at UMHS are qualified to sit for the United States Medical Licensing Examinations. Graduate students who have efficiently approved Step 1 and Step 2 CK and CS of the USMLE may be qualified for ECFMG certification. USMLE Phase 3 is taken after graduations.

As long as the student is making sufficient educational progress, the grant continues throughout the past or present student’s basic science program.

Campus safety and security
The student protection is important to UMHS. There is a Security office at university to assist with any questions or issues. The workplace is open 24 / 7 days a week.
